Salt Lake City, Utah
Living Room Lookout Trail is an easily accessible hike right behind the University of Utah. The hike is family friendly and makes for a perfect after school workout (when there is no snow). At the top of the trail, there are couches made of rocks for you to relax and oversee the beautiful city with. I guess that's how it got its name. I happened to hike this trail during July 4th so I was able to see a panoramic view of fireworks. I would have stayed longer if it weren't for the thunderous clouds above me. While you're here, don't forget to stop by the Natural History Museum of Utah. That was a great experience on its own.
