Mount Baldy, California
There are a few ways you can hike Mt. Baldy. Two popular routes that are often combined to create a loop through the summit are the Devil's Backbone Trail and the Ski Hut Trail. However, once in a while we'll get some amazing winter alpine conditions in Southern California making Baldy Bowl a 3rd and very ideal introduction to mountaineering route. There are many routes up Baldy Bowl but we opted for the easier Zen Chute. Crampons, ice axe, helmet, and avalanche awareness are a must!

Starting up the trail with Jon and Melissa!
Follow the fire road up about half a mile until you see the Ski Hut Trail sign. This is really easy to miss!

Really steep towards the top.
Made it!
