Chino Hills, California
Super bloom hype, part two! See #31 - Bane Canyon Loop for my introduction to Chino Hills State Park. I couldn't get enough of the green hills and super bloom so I had to go for a second run.
The North Bane Ridge Trail to Sidewinder Loop begins at the same gate as Bane Canyon Loop, follows the first half of the Bane Ridge Trail, and then loops back to the beginning through the Sidewinder trail (or loop it the other way like I did). Another awesome hike that is family friendly!
Distance: 6.2 miles (Loop)
Elevation Gain: 918 ft.
Highest Elevation: ~1,100 ft.
Directions to Chino Hills State Park: Use the following coordinates in Google Maps to route your directions to the entrance of Chino Hills State Park or enter "East Entrance of Chino Hills State Park".
33.954689, -117.7029368
After entering the park, park as near to the entrance station as possible. The hike begins a few hundred feet before the station.
Here's a map of the hike courtesy of AllTrails.
Parked and looking back at the entrance station. Walk along the road until you reach an obvious trailhead.
I decided to follow the Sidewinder Trail first.
So much brush! Glad I wore long pants today.
Little pond.
Made it to the halfway point of the loop! Looks to be a parking lot with some picnic benches.
Some pictures to finish up my loop.
#32.
